Cradle Mountain, Tasmania- Print

I made this painting after exploring the incredible Lake St Clair National Park in Tasmania. This area is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is home to so many really amazing creatures. I did a lot of plein air sketching on the trails and back at my campsites, and then used them to create this piece. I tried to capture the wild energy of the stormy skies and the feeling of wonder at such an ancient and beautiful landscape.
